Aren't these images wonderful? They are the work of 19 year old self taught photographer Alexandra Sophie. Alexandra's work looks to be inspired by natural beauty, the great outdoors and perhaps a bit of fantasy. I have really enjoyed her portfolio; the scenery is spectacular and I particularly like the UFO being snapped on the camera phones as well as the young girl with the bear - so charming. You should check out her bio here for more info, because, you know, sister can take a picture!

ooo...dangerous! her use of natural light is awesome. this makes me want to run around with pretty girls + a camera! (no bears, though, cos yikes.)
ReplyDeleteI know! Although I would quite welcome the bears. But maybe that's just because I miss Canada?
ReplyDeleteheh, aww, i'm sure they miss you too. (hopefully in a non-edible kind of way! haha.)
Delete19?! That's really fantastic. Following you via bloglovin as well!
ReplyDelete19! Incredible isn't it. Did you read her bio - I love her approach to it - she's quite inspirational.
DeleteShe's got immense talent, I really love how she seems to be in sync with nature and its elements. Her bio is rather interesting too, I need to find the time to read it with more attention to detail. But I'll be following her work from now on :)

Wow so young and already so talented. Incredible. The pictures are really beautiful. I mostly like the one with the bear - guess this wasn't easy to take. Totally impressive.
ReplyDeletethese are absolutely breathtaking. what a talent. and what a great find.
ReplyDeleteHey Jo! :) thank you for you sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteI actually live in the middle of Berlin, in Kreuzberg. I just moved here a couple of months ago and already love it. You really should come for a visit! It's just a one hour flight :). And the fact that your boy speaks german fluently (how comes that by the way?) is just another good reason!
I pretty much love your blog too.
New follower here :)

Ah I see! Yes we really should as it's so close but trying to save up this year so no trips for us until next year I think! My husband speaks German because he studied it at uni and lived there for a bit in the 90s. He uses it a lot for work as he deals with some German speaking companies. He's a Canadian but living in England and speaking many languages! (I'll definitely be asking for travel advice when we make it over there!).
ReplyDeleteThose are so gorgeous! The one with the UFO is utterly haunting. And where does a 19 year-old get access to a bear? Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHA! I know - the bear?!
Deletethese pictures are amazing! love every single one! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by dragon's palate too! It's a foodie blog I share with my mama, but we are a little neglectful to be honest. But thanks for following, hopefully this summer we'll be able to devote some more time to it again. And let me know how the gluten-free version turns out, I bet it will work really well!
